A Legacy Born in a Home Kitchen
In 1982, Sri. G. Natarajan — a first-generation entrepreneur with a dream and his wife's beloved recipes — set up a small sweet shop at Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, Chennai. What began as a modest venture quickly captured the hearts and palates of the neighbourhood.
The secret? Bangaru Amma's extraordinary home recipes, passed down through generations. Her Mysore Pak, melt-in-the-mouth Ladoo, and crunchy Mixture were unlike anything sold commercially — made with pure ingredients, honest proportions, and the warmth of a home kitchen.

Over four decades, The Grand Sweets & Snacks has grown from one shop to nine branches across Chennai, under the beloved Amirtham sub-brand. Yet the soul remains unchanged — home recipes, premium quality, made with love.
